January 2008: YHS Wins National Compost Award

YHS were the proud winners of the Composting Association Jim Balance award 2007.

This award is the highest profile recognition in composting in the UK and Ireland and is presented to companies for their outstanding contribution to composting and compost.The award highlights innovation, impact and excellence in composting on all scales from local to international.

May 2008: National Compost Awareness Week Activities

For National Compost Awareness week the production facilities were open to interested parties to visit. Several local schools were shown round, the children enjoyed the day and left with a bag of peat free compost and a pack of sunflower seeds.

MAY 2009

YHS were the very proud winners of The Yorkshire Post Environmental Product of the Year Award 2009.

The award was presented by Ed Milliband and Julia Bradbury at a gala dinner in Leeds.

A big thanks to all staff and customers for making this happen.

MAY 2009

YHS were the very proud winners of a Silver Guilt Medal for their Garden at The Chelsea Flower Show 2009.

Our Garden Designer, David Domoney, designed and constructed the garden and we were very proud to win the award at our first entry.

The bikers garden theme certainly generated some interest!

Watch out for our entry at The Hampton Court Flower Show in July 2009. It promises to be as good!
